Meanwhile, the Indonesian Life Insurance Association (AAJI) is optimistic that the business prospects of the life insurance industry in 2022 will be better than this year. Chairman of the AAJI Management Board, Budi Tampubolon, said that most insurance company managements and chief economists look at business conditions in 2022 more optimistically than 2021. With the improving condition of life insurance performance this year, according to him, business players will start to spur their business next year.
"We look at 2022 with optimism and there is no wait and see effort. It seems that from January 2022, AAJI members will begin to realize all their business plans," said Budi, Wednesday (12/8/2021). He did not rule out the potential for the Covid-19 pandemic to continue in 2022 and the possibility of the emergence of new virus variants, such as Omicron.
However, he considers that companies in all business lines, including life insurance, are increasingly adapting to survive. He believes that even if the Covid-19 pandemic continues, business actors will get used to it and find new innovations in running their business. "We will get used to it, we will find new ways to run our business, market our products, and serve our customers. Many believe that the pandemic will slow down. The more immunity comes here, the more immunity is formed. Although there are positive cases, the impact may be severe much more controllable," he said.
