PT BNI Life Insurance or BNI Life recorded unitlink premium income until July 2024 of Rp 680 billion.
Acting President Director of BNI Life Neny Asriany said the unitlink premium fell compared to the same period last year. Unfortunately, she did not mention the value of the decline.
“The decline in unitlink premium income is still due to the new unitlink policy which has an impact on challenges in penetrating new customers,” he told Kontan, Tuesday (3/9).
Along with the challenges in selling unitlink products, Neny said, BNI Life set unitlink premium growth conservatively or did not experience significant growth.
To boost unitlink performance in the future, BNI Life will implement a number of efforts. Neny said the company will carry out a strategy by segmenting customers from age and income, and targeting young customers or young families.
For information, data from the Indonesian Life Insurance Association (AAJI) recorded unitlink premium income in the first semester of 2024 of Rp 36.68 trillion. This value decreased by 13.8%, compared to the same period last year.
