Having good sleep quality is certainly an indicator of psychological and physical health. Healthy sleep conditions are determined by two factors: Sleep Quantity and Sleep Quality. Quantity refers to the duration or length of rest, while quality is the most important factor for psychological health. Having insufficient sleep time will affect health conditions and lead to risks such as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, depression, and stroke.

Therefore, besides having good sleep quantity, it's also important to have good sleep quality. Here are the qualities of good sleep that can be applied daily:

  1. Calm Yourself and Arrange a Comfortable Sleeping Position
Calm yourself before sleep can make your body relax, and arranging a comfortable sleeping position will stabilize your body's condition, such as organs, heart rate, and muscles.

  2. Ensure a Comfortable Room Conditions for Rest
A tidy room, quiet, cool air, good air circulation, and a pleasant scent will make the body feel comfortable for sleep. Thus, the reflex to sleep becomes faster because of having a good room condition.

  3. Avoid Using Sleeping Pills
Reducing the use of drugs, especially for sleep, will keep the body healthy. If you have difficulty resting, try doing heavy activities or reading a book 1 hour before bed.

  4. Avoid Using Electronic Devices 30 Minutes Before Bed
Blue light from electronic devices can disturb the eyes and brain. Radiation from electronic devices can also inhibit sleep because we will focus on using electronic devices for a long period, making it difficult for the body to rest.

Having good sleep quality makes the body healthy, avoids heart disease, improves mood, and enhances brain reflexes. See you in the next Life Blog, stay healthy!
